Engineered chevron parquet flooring is a timeless classic style suitable for any type of environment including installation over under floor heating.
As with our standard flooring, the profile has a tongue and groove that makes for much more straightforward installation compared to a chevron block.
The main benefit of our new chevron boards is the time and cost they can save, without compromising on the style or durability of a traditional chevron block floor.
For stability, the boards must be glued down. There is no need to glue the tongue and groove, and the micro-bevelled edges (on the sides only) will compensate for minor differences in surface height. To give a true impression of a conventional chevron floor, the boards and lamellas must be lined up by whomever is installing.
It is advised to start laying from the middle of the room - called a spine - to give as much symmetry as possible. In all cases, a 10mm expansion gap must be left between the flooring and the wall. These new wide boards are also compatible with water under floor heating systems.

Our engineered Chevron Board has been produced using a Russian WBP birch ply, manufactured to European standard EN 326-2. The adhesive used to bond the board is an E1 category, PUR adhesive (formaldehyde free) to DIN/EN 14257 and DIN/EN 204 low emission glue which is heat and water resistant in accordance with BS EN 14342:2005+A1. The top layer is kiln dried to between 8-12% moisture content.
The formaldehyde emissions are: 0,01 ppm, pentachlorophenol emissions: <0.8 mg/kg.
Thermal conductivity (W/mK) is 0,10W/mK.
Suitable for a fully bonded installation to a screed or ply subfloor. The unsealed board is supplied with a micro bevel along the length of the board, pre- sanded requiring only a light 100/120 grit sand to finish.
