Flooring 400 × 100 × 20 mm
Our aged parquet looks like it has aged gracefully over the years and has all the character and charm of a reclaimed floor. The advantages of modern manufacturing techniques mean that unlike original solid wood parquet, our engineered aged blocks can be used with underfloor heating.
Oak is a versatile species that takes pigments very well, so it lends itself well to pre-sealed flooring. The physical characteristics that give Oak its charm are still visible through the finish, so this floor has a naturally charming character and can be matched with the desired design scheme.
Parquet wood flooring is a great way to introduce pattern in a subtle, stylish and enduring way. There are plenty of fitting options to consider, including the classic and universally adored herringbone pattern, in addition to attractive basket weave and brick designs. It all comes down to a matter of personal preference and the effect you want to create.
First introduced in France in the 1700s, parquet remains a long-lasting sign of true quality and craftsmanship. It’s been gaining in popularity for years and is now considered to be a true classic.
The ply backing of an engineered floor with a hardwood veneer glued on top gives our engineered floors the same beautiful appearance of a solid wood floor but with superior construction, greater stability, and compatibility with under floor heating.
The warm and rich tone of the wood is emphasised by the finish, which has no added colouring. Oiled finishes are very popular as they have a natural look and feel, so simply add to the appearance of the wood.
