Chevron blocks are cut at an angle at both ends in contrast to parquet wood flooring, which has square ends. This creates the classic chevron zig zag pattern running along the floor. This is so popular that it can be found on almost anything; from fabrics and wallpapers to furniture and prints.
The ply backing of an engineered floor with a hardwood veneer glued on top gives our engineered floors the same beautiful appearance of a solid wood floor but with superior construction, greater stability, and compatibility with under floor heating.

Our engineered Chevron has been produced using WBP birch ply, manufactured to European standard EN 326-2. The adhesive used to bond the board is an E1 category, PUR adhesive (formaldehyde free) to DIN/EN 14257 and DIN/EN 204 low emission glue which is heat and water resistant in accordance with BS EN 14342:2005+A1. The top layer is kiln dried to between 8-12% moisture content.
The formaldehyde emissions are: 0,01 ppm, pentachlorophenol emissions: <0.8 mg/kg.
Thermal conductivity (W/mK) is 0,10W/mK.
Suitable for a fully bonded installation to a screed or ply subfloor. The Chevron block is supplied pre- sanded requiring only a light 100/120 grit sand to finish.
Compatible for use in conjunction with underfloor heating the woodblock complies with BS 8201:2011, rated in accordance with BS EN 13501-1
