Types of Walnut Floor
Our Walnut floors are available as parquet wood blocks, chevron design boards, or as conventional engineered boards.
Whether you opt for the more traditional parquet blocks or for the modern classic chevron patterned boards, Walnut is a visually stunning species perfect for either of these constructions. The parquet and chevron patterns introduce a more traditional look to a luxury and modern design scheme.
For a more unique product, Walnut can be combined with Oak in a fine line parquet construction. This bold and adventurous floor can be laid in traditional patterns but has a conemporary and compelling appearance.

Our Engineered Walnut Floors meet modern requirements and keep a traditional wood flooring appearance. The multiple layers of plywood backing support the hardwood top layer, resulting in a floor that looks and feels beautiful and that can be sanded and re-finished even after years of use. These floors are available in both wide and narrow formats.
A wide board board can open up a space for a more modern and contemporary appearance.
Narrower boards are visually vibrant, with great character. In a room with a high ceiling such as a warehouse apartment, a narrow board looks particularly stunning.
All of our Engineered Walnut floors are suitable for installation over under floor heating because of their stability and moisture content. They can be laid in all rooms of the house, from bathrooms to bedrooms.

Walnut and other Dark Species
Walnut is unfortunately not suitable for heavy use areas because, as a fruit species, it has a slightly reduced hardness rating compared to other dark species. But, Walnut is a much more sustainable alternative to exotic species that are unfortunately not sustainably sourced.

The Walnut used in our flooring is steamed in order to reduce the colour difference between the heartwood and sapwood, intensifying the depth of the brown tones that are characteristic of this species.
We are one of the largest importers of Walnut in Europe. Purchased from family-run small suppliers across Northern USA, we have a full chain of custody to ensure the highest standards of traceability and forestry management.
